**Ps 119:89-91 Your word, LORD, is eternal; it stands firm in the heavens. Your faithfulness continues through all generations; you established the earth, and it endures. Your laws endure to this day, for all things serve you. NIV
**Ps 29:9-11 The voice of the LORD twists the oaks and strips the forests bare. And in his temple all cry, “Glory!” …. the LORD is enthroned as King forever. The LORD gives strength to his people; the LORD blesses his people with peace. NIV

There is authority in the voice of God that when He speaks, He commands one’s undivided attention that when heard one stops and listens with intent. God’s words are powerful. He speaks things into existence as in “let there be light” (Gen 1:3) and there was light. In the storm when Jesus spoke the words, “peace be still,” the wind and waves stopped (Mk 4:35-41). His spoken words, the source of the natural laws govern our universe. In the physics of it all the creativity of the Master makes Himself visible to all mankind as in displays of beauty in the vibrant colours formed out of a flower bud, powerful forces as in lightning strikes, His permanence in the stability of the standing mountains (Ps 46:2-3). He is the designer of all things not just the big things, but right down to the last detail watching over one and attending to the most minute details in one’s life. He is forever present in the lives of those who draw near to Him, and in His faithfulness, He in return will draw near to them (Zech 1:3). This is His promise. Practising His Presence as in submission to the guidance of His Holy Spirit will become one’s impenetrable defence where anxieties in the toughest of situations will not get the better of one (Ps. 46:1), because in His strength there is peace. In the valley, His presence is refreshing reviving the soul as water quenches a dry, parched land for growth again. In revival is the blessing to recognize His continued work within (Hab 3:1-2). When the work is done with continual supply from God through His Spirit, then it is all to the glory of God. By His grace, as one carries on in the Lord, He is the one who continues to write one’s life story weaving the tapestry as one is moved forward in His plan to make one complete. To choose God’s plan over one’s own will is remaining in His presence, not falling into the pattern of becoming arrogant pursuing own selfish ambition (Jam 3:13-16), resulting in a gratitude spawning one into celebration unto Him to not take things for granted. Staying in and practising the presence of God has one viewing life with the perspective that the eternal God’s established ways are higher than any other and lasting through time. All that He is and has set in place endures forever.
